Alternate route from the 59th Street Bridge and Midtown Tunnel during rush hour periods:
- Follow the same directions as above for the 59th Street Bridge and the Midtown Tunnel.
- Take the exit marked Brooklyn Queens Expressway / 278 East. Get in the middle lane following signs for Maurice Avenue.
- Get off at Maurice Avenue. At the bottom of the exit ramp make a right onto Maurice Avenue.
- Go approximately five blocks to a stop sign and a circle where several avenues meet.
- Go through the stop sign and take your first available left passing the Clinton Diner.
- At the next stop sign (1 block distance) make a left onto Rust Street. Continue on Rust until you get to a stop sign at the top of the hill.
- Go through the stop sign bearing left onto 59th Drive.
- Go approximately 3 blocks and make a right onto 60th Street.
- At the next stoplight (approximately 5 blocks) make a right onto Metropolitan Avenue.
- Then make the first quick left onto Forrest Avenue. Stay on Forrest Avenue for approximately 1 1/2 miles passing under the elevated subway line at Putman.
As you cross Myrtle Avenue bear left continuing on Forrest Avenue.
- Three blocks after crossing Myrtle Avenue make a right onto Summerfield Street.
- Go two blocks and make a left onto Cypress Avenue. Go two blocks and make a right onto Cody Avenue. Vintage Wine Warehouse is the first building on the left.
